Hi, Martin.
Quite weird. I distinctly remember seeing something about `streamlength',
which would make sense, in the USB Class 1 configuration, and something
about XMOS (which would also make sense, since they make the Class 2 chip)
in the Class 2 config, but the machine I have immediate access to now, the
old C7 machine, has NO text string in either lsusb or dmesg when I plug
the DAC in. But I think I remember from either an Ubuntu box or a Fedora
one which I tried earlier; I am not sure I have ever seen any text from
Voyage; it is certainly not there now, either from the 0.7.0 image or
the newer snapshot.
Thanks, Nick, for clarifying the USB1/2 Class 1/2 issues. I had
not understood until you wrote and then I did some reading. In
any case, Voyage users have no reason to use the broken Class 1 setting
on the QB9. Since the upgrade to Voyage with the 2.6.38 kernel
and the (I presume matching) 1.0.24 Alsa everything has worked perfectly.
