Hi,
I've given up on the USB stick and try to install it on a virtual
machine. Still not working but advancing slowly.
Steps follow:
1) Run voyage sdk iso
2) install sdk in the virtual machine
3) Run the vm with the voyage sdk installed
4) remountrw
5) download kernel sourcecode from voyage
6) apply the .config file from voyage
7) apt-get update
8) apt-get install dialog
9) grub-set-default 0 --> otherwise I get an error when installing the
kernel debian package
10) Set up the kernel and compile it
make-kpkg --revision="3.0usb" --append-to-version "-jlanza-voyage"
kernel-image
11) dkpg -i kernel.deb
12) reboot....
I got the error:
Root-NFS: no NFS server address
VFS: unable to mount root fs via NFS, trying floppy
VFS: Cannot open root device "sda1" or unknown-block(2,0)
Please append a correct "root=".....
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS unable to mount.....
Any help??? Without compiling and installing the new kernel the system
works well. Then, how can I create an image with my own kernel?
See you
Jorge
