[Voyage-linux] setgid: Operation not permitted

Here we go.
I think I have a little mess here:
 
ls -l /bin/su /etc/group* /etc/passwd*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 29152 Feb 15  2011 /bin/su
-rw-r--r-- 1 1000 1000   543 Oct 10 14:41 /etc/group
-rw------- 1 root root   539 Oct 10 14:23 /etc/group-
-rw-r--r-- 1 1000 1000   905 Oct 10 14:23 /etc/passwd
-rw------- 1 root root   949 Sep 27 19:52 /etc/passwd-

No idea where the 1000 comes from, from my little understanding it should be root, not 1000, isn't it?
