Save yourself the effort.  I bet it took Teco less than 6 hours to figure out ... Probably half of that. It was quite some time ago, too

First of all are you attempting to do a PXE boot?

Second, If yes, you will need a NFS mount to read the squashfs file from the live cd.

This issue took me 6 months to figure out so I would be more then happy to help you.

I distribute the generated initrd.img after each installation.

Can you install these packages before you create the initrd.img file?
Include these packages also in Voyage, for later updates of initrd.img?
