[Voyage-linux] Problem mounting USB HDD

Chance - tried the powered hub and no difference.

Kevin - dmesg reports the USB drive as attached (sda1) but it does not show
up when I try fdisk -l

Guess I need to mount it manually or add a line to /etc/fstab? If that's the
correct approach - I'm new to Linux, so bear with me - what is the content
of the line to add?

Thanks for the help

check /var/log/messages and dmesg, see if the system detects whether the hdd
is even detected upon plug in. That will also tell you what device it
appears as (i.e. /dev/sdb, /dev/sdc, or something else)
