Thank you Punky for an honest response. I will have to disagree on one item
with you. Although you see Voyage ONE as a product that is inferior to
other Asterisk distro due to quality, the goal and concept surpasses the
others. As I mentioned, I use the other Asterisk distro out there in
production for numerous clients, but the simplicity, low end hardware
requirements, small footprint, and goal is above the others. The others are
just too bloated with CRM/IM/etc various components integration. There's
definitely a place for Voyage ONE or similar. I tried AstLinux as the other
low resource Asterisk distro, and was even more dissapointed. I am not sure
if you will further develop Voyage ONE in the future, but I will help in the
QA of the product if you continue.

I have to say again, Voyage ONE is a great idea. Businesses, individuals,
and VARS can take a low end x86 hardware such as a thin client and have a
complete phone system that supasses anything Cisco UC provide by simple
ingenuity; using right phones / softphones/etc. In the last 3 months, I've
replaced Cisco aging systems for 4 companies ranging from 10-75 users. If I
had Voyage ONE as a viable option, I would have used it in place of Elastix
(main one I recommend and prefer), Trixbox, and AsteriskNOW.

With that said, is Voyage Linux a more mature product to built on top off -
i.e desktop system with GNOME 3, various apps, etc added?

Good Luck.
