[Voyage-linux] cannot install locales

When I try to apt-get install locales:


The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 e2fsprogs : PreDepends: e2fslibs (= 1.41.12-2) but 1.41.12-4stable1 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).


When I try to apt-get -f install:

The following extra packages will be installed:
  e2fsprogs


Do you want to continue [Y/n]?     Y

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
    LANGUAGE = (unset),
    LC_ALL = (unset),
    LANG = "en_US.UTF-8"
    are supported and installed on your system. (and so on and so on..._

I cannot install nano until locale is installed.
Any help? Newbee.
