[Voyage-linux] Glitches on Playback Start/Resume with Arcam rDAC and Voyage MPD 0.8

Just now something odd happened. I resumed playback of a 16/44.1 FLAC file from paused state (without glitches)
and thought I'd check the stream parameters. I was presented with this:
root at voyage:~# cat /proc/asound/card0/stream0
ARCAM ARCAM DAC at usb-0000:00:1d.0-1, full speed : USB Audio
Playback:
Status: Running
Interface = 1
Altset = 1
URBs = 3 [ 8 8 8 ]
Packet Size = 585
Momentary freq = 44104 Hz (0x2c.1a98)
Feedback Format = 10.14
Interface 1
Altset 1
Format: S24_3LE
Channels: 2
Endpoint: 1 OUT (ASYNC)
Rates: 32000, 44100, 48000, 88200, 96000
Note the odd momentary frequency. When I ran the same command a few seconds later it displayed the expected momentary frequency of 44100 Hz.
I then started running the command every few seconds and noticed something odd: most of the time it showed the proper 44100 Hz. But now and then
it suddenly displayed 44104 Hz or 44096 Hz. On the other hand "cat /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params" always showed the correct frequency.
I'm guessing this is either an ssh bug or there's genuinely something wrong with the way snd-usb-audio communicates with the Arcam. Any ideas what this
might be?
