[Voyage-linux] Is Marvell Sheeva CPU OK for Linux Voyage? Is there a good little motherboard?

Hello,
I am exploring the world of embedded systems. I have developed some
software that runs on a desktop computer. Now, I have to put it on a
motherboard which I can carry with me.
A co-worker told me about Linux Voyage.
I have found a motherboard that may be good for me:
http://www.mimomonitors.com/products/mimo-dreamplug
But I wonder if I can run Linux Vogage on it. The board's CPU is: Marvell
Sheeva CPU core 1.2GHz speed.
"Voyage Linux is Debian derived distribution that is best run on a x86
embedded platforms such as PC Engines ALIX/WRAP, Soekris 45xx/48xx/65xx and
Atom-based boards."
Marvell Sheeva is not part of the list. So, I guess that Linux Voyage is
not working on it.
Am I correct?
If so, do you know a basic motherboard that can run Linux Voyage?
- Fanless.
- Low Consumption (this very important).
- 2 USB.
- 1 SATA (for SSD).
- Some way to plug a keyboard (USB or PS/2).
- Some way to plus a sceen (VGA, for example - even RS232). I don't care
about graphics... I don't install any graphical environment.
- RAM: 512 Mb (minimum). But 1 Gb should be better.
- CPU 700 MHz (minium).
- I don't care about network. If the board has network interfaces, it
does not hurt. but I don't need it.
- And, if it is possible, some way to change the SD card where the
kernel is stored.
- My co-worker told me that you should not write too much on this card.
I am testing, and playing... so I may burn it many times. I don't want to
change the entire board because the SD card is dead. If I could just
install Linux on the SSD it should be easier I guess.
There are so many boards... I look, look and look again. Many boards seem
good. But I have no experience and I guess some of you may have a good idea.
Thank you,
Denis
