Why is it that you can install to a usb thumb drive, But not be able to
use it to install onto other devices.

Here is the issue at hand :

I have built a thumbdrive with voyage 0.6.5 > added custom pkgs > tested
all works fine.

I can boot the drive on other system fine .

But when I install from the usb drive to a drive on a system like a 4
gig dom (disk on module)
the os installs but grub fails to install correctly.

so on every reboot all your get is a screen full of GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB

all i do to install is run the voyage.update command but I first
/etc/init.d/voyage-sync off

so that's all the mount point are cleared and its only the root fs . I
have a small script that does this for me.

this should work like installing from a cd .

So does anyone have a idea why grub is failing to install. The idea of
useing the usb to install on systems with out cdroms. like embedded x86
boards is the goal of this drive.

Thanks for your input ahead of time.
