[Voyage-linux] How can I upgrade from 0.8.5 to 0.9-rc2?

Hello

How can I upgrade from voyage-0.8.5 to voyage-0.9-rc2?
Script usr/local/sbin/voyage.update does not work.
This script calls
   usr/local/sbin/voyage-update.sh
which calls
  usr/local/sbin/do-update.sh
and this script does only writing a config file /test.conf with
write_config "test.conf" "$VOYAGE_CONF_LIST"

What did I miss? How can I upgrade or is this not possible?
Until now I have done always installation from scratch ...
