You need a initramfs-tools (>=0.110), please read:
http://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs//main/i/initramfs-tools/initramfs-tools_0.116_changelog,
and read the change on 0.110. Then recreate initramfs after install the kernel and initramfs-tools
