Nowhere, I just tried! It says that "madwifi" driver is not valid (or
something like that). Reading through Debian changelogs, I now know
it was removed from Debian:

http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/h/hostapd/hostapd_0.7.3-2/changelog

On 0.7.2-2:

* disable madwifi driver
- remove debian/driver_madwifi
- disable madwifi driver in debian/config/linux
Now, the thing is: the reason: what is the reason behind this? but I
guess it would be a question for Debian mailing list. Nevertheless,
voyage 0.7.0 README file assumes madwifi support is there on the
included hostapd.conf example.

I am trying my atheros card in voyage 0.7 with the hostapd.conf config file which was working in voyage 0.6 and I have also found this problem:

I switched to ath5k driver (from madwifi), and it looks ok.

Ildefonso.

How have you done that? I tried to edit hostapd.conf driver line with driver=ath5k and I get this error:

root@voyage:~# hostapd /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf

¿could you explain which is the process to switch from madwifi to ath5k? ¿there is no possibility to use hostapd with madwifi?
