Tried to install udev and it did not update anything.

if udev rules are taken out, where are the names for the interfaces stored. The reason I ask is that for some reason this node (which has a wistron dnma 92 and a intersil NL2511MP plus) shows a wifi0 iface as well as a wlan0 iface bothe with the same specs (hwaddr, etc...). could that be because one is a prism chipset and the other atheros?

thanks in advance.
John
Hi John,

Some rules in udev are removed when building the distribution. You can reinstall udev package to bring it back.
