OK,.. Ive been working on this issue for more then 3 weeks and I am about to give up.

Issue:
Need to be able to install Voyage from a PXE environment

Hardware:
SBC: PC-Engines ALIX.3D3
Radio: 2x Wistron DNMA-92 mini-pci
CF: SanDisk Ultra 30MB/s 4GB
PXE Server: Windows SBS 2003 SP1
Network: 100/1000 Ethernet CAT5e
PXE System: ISOLinux

I have tried following the instructions found at:
http://wiki.voyage.hk/pxe_voyage.txt
http://cvs.voyage.hk/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/*checkout*/voyage-custom/src/live-cd/overlay_fs/README.pxe

The best results so far for my menu is this:

LABEL Voyage
MENU DEFAULT
MENU LABEL Voyage
KERNEL memdisk keeppxe
APPEND iso initrd=ISO/voyage-one-0.7.5.iso

I keep getting this at boot time, no matter what ISO image I use:

[ 2.836543] i8042: Can't read CTR while initializing i8042
Loading, please wait...

BusyBox v1.17.1 (Debian 1:1.17.1-8) built-in (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
(initramfs)

I know this can be done, however everything I have tried says to the contrary.

Some questions that I have are as follows:

Do I need to build my own INITRD image (including the voyage install files) with a stand alone pxe boot? If so, please advise how to do so. I have not found anything online that suggests how to do this.

Additional questions will follow, but this is something that I think Voyage-linux could benefit from as this will allow for a more robustness where boot options are concerned as well as install options are concerned. My theory is that the hardware should only be touched once and this process will eliminate possibilities of shorting out the SBCs or any other hardware.

This issue is also on Experts-Exchange.
