You could try the ntfs-3g package. It is a FUSE based solution so the performance is not great, though still way more than enough for streaming music (or 1080p videos for that matter).<div><br></div><div>You would likely have to mount it manually.<br>

For NTFS you can't mount rw or it is unsupported. Linux guy just don't have the spec. on NTFS so write is dangerous.<br>

Probably it is permission problem of your files on the disk, not MPD. So better change the file permission on windows machines and plug back again, or re-format your disk to FAT32.<br>
