Once again, I am using the mailing list for an issue
regarding connectivity through 3G USB modems.

When I plug my ZTE MF110 modem directly to my board (an Alix
3D3), a /dev/gsmmodem is automatically created and I can use
it in my connection configuration file to connect
successfully.
However, when I plug it in a USB hub, the /dev/gsmmodem is
not created and I cannot connect via any of the /dev/ttyUSB*
devices that are created.

I have to mention that the problem appeared after I had used
usbserial to have my ZTE modem plus a Huawei e353 modem
recognized as serial devices. Actually I tried to use
usbserial because no devices were created when I plugged the
Huawei modem despite the fact that it was successfully
mode-switched.

Any hint?
Thank you in advance,
Kostas
