<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div>Hello Jeff,<br>thanks your sharing.<br></div>i tried different mpd client software and apps, then i found the gmpc in ubuntu. i can add the cue file into play queue from database. it also cannot display the track info before i add cue file in to queue. once in the queue, it can display the track information correctly and i can select which track to play.<br>
</div>in that sense, i think the mpd has no problem to play individual track according to the cue file but clients (i am using mpod in iphone) just didn't have the user interface to show the individual track and send to mpd play queue.<br>
</div>i really don't understand why they don't do that....<br></div>Joseph<br></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">On 6 November 2013 03:22, Jeff Mai <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:jmai@iinet.net.au" target="_blank">jmai@iinet.net.au</a>></span> wrote:<br>

<div>Hi Joseph,<br>
<br>
I ran into this problem in 2008 or 2009. Soon after cue sheet
support was added for a while, but then it was broken in an update
of mpd around 2011. I asked around on some of the forums, but I
don't think the developers agreed with the way it was implemented
and didn't intend to fix it.<br>
<br>
I needed some of the new updates to mpd to support new playback
hardware.<br>
<br>
In the end I used the Windows program CueTools to split all of my
flac files into separate tracks. It names and tags them according
to the cue sheet too. It handled everything as a batch once it
was set up so it was less work than I thought, but it took an
entire weekend.<br>
<br>
Probably not what you want to hear - I didn't in 2011, but after I
split my files I haven't looked back. mpd handles gapless
playback perfectly with the split files in my set up and that was
my main concern.<br>
<br>
Cheers<br>

<div>Hello,<br>

i am new to use mpd. i was told mpd cannot handle a single
flac file with a cue file and i have to split the flac file
into separated flac files according to the cue file. but i
don't believe it. <br>
<br>

so i read around internet, mpd should be able to handle cue
file (right?), and i saw in voyage mpd version information it
has cue plugin.<br>
<br>
what is this cue plugin can do? i tried to put a single flac
file and cue file in a directory but in my mpdclient i cannot
play the individual track in that flac file. it just treats it
as 1 track :(<br>
<br>

<div>i would like to know why and how can i make mpd to read the
cue file.<br>

<div>thanks!<br>
