[Voyage-linux] Why does this always happen??

It seems whenever I edit anything on the wrap via the serial port I get
this error:

LILLOO  --  KKeeyyttaabbllee  rreeaadd//cchheecckkssuumm  eerrrroorr

Does anybody else get this?

I can reproduce it like this:
remountrw
vi /etc/network/interfaces
***change file around to fit my network***
remountro
reboot

This is all done using the serial console logged on as root. Another
time when it happens is when I run apt-get upgrade, but then it only
happens 50% of the time. Any ideas?
