[Voyage-linux] Cross compile drivers

Hello!

What is the process to cross-compile some custom drivers for a voyage device? The kernel is "Linux 2.6.8-486-voyage" <-- that is the output of 'uname -sr' . But I do not know exactly which version of Voyage this is (changelog: - kernel-image-2.6.8-486-voyage_2.0-2).

In particular, I wish to compile some of the new madwifi drivers and replace the "shipped" version of the drivers for the kernel.

The wiki seems to be down at the moment, too...

cross compiling is easy enough for a 2.4.x kernel, but I seem to not be able to figure out how for a 2.6.x :( My latest attempt errored out and said nothing was configured ( no include/version.h) .

I download the generic source (linux 2.6.8) from kernel.org, i then 'make menuconfig' and load the config file from the /boot directory. ?? so what did I forget?

Thanks all.
