Hi Punky,
I have encountered problem when running hostapd on Prism wireless card, but it is ok for Atheros. Same client access the WRAP (voyage-0.2) with prism and atheros. The hostapd.conf file is as follows:
interface=ath0
driver=madwifi
# interface=wlan0
# driver=hostap
logger_syslog=-1
logger_syslog_level=2
logger_stdout=-1
logger_stdout_level=3
debug=0
dump_file=/tmp/hostapd-ath2.dump
ssid=IT-GUESTS
macaddr_acl=0
auth_algs=3
wpa=1
wpa_passphrase=foobarrr
wpa_key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
wpa_pairwise=TKIP
wpa_group_rekey=600
wpa_gmk_rekey=86400
The hostap info found in "dmesg"
hostap_pci: 0.4.4-kernel (Jouni Malinen <jkmaline at cc.hut.fi>)
hostap_pci: Registered netdevice wifi0
And the latest stable release of hostap driver in http://hostap.epitest.fi/ is 0.4.7. Is this the problem cause ? If yes, any idea how to fix. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Keith
