[Voyage-linux] eth0 No link problem

I'm sorry to overload the mailing list with all those problems, but I keep
discovering them as long as I use different configurations for my Access
Point.
While I was trying to solve the problem of the Point-to-Point connection I
have connected the Wrap to a PC with Debian and, to my surprise, I got "no
link" over eth0: the Ethernet traffic led of both Wrap and PC were dead. I
said surprisingly because with my laptop and it's Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit
Ethernet card all works fine: as soon as I plug the Ethernet connector the
link is up and running at 100Mbit Full Duplex. I tried to modify the
settings of the eth0 interface of the PC, I set the autonegotiation onor
off, I fixed the speed, but nothing worked, I even tried to play with the
wake-on-lan parameter but it didn't worked.
I tried the Ethernet cards of another laptop and two PCs with Windows XP but
they keep saying the Ethernet cable was disconnected and the mii-tool on the
WRAP reported "no link".
I play a bit with my laptop Ethernet card and I discovered that if I try to
change the speed while the card is activated I get the "no link" on the
Ethernet, but, if I change that speed while the card is deactivated, once I
activated it again I get the eth0 "link up".
Sincerely it's a very strange behaviour, maybe someone has already coped
with this problem; I hope.
Thanks,
Tommaso
