Have you looked into pfSense?  It runs quite well on a 2C3 box.  I
originally got into these boards to run either pfSense or M0n0wall.  For
me, the idea of running Linux on the Alix board is relatively new.
We're doing it mostly because of a specialized need for a device to
receive syslog info.
