[Voyage-linux] ECN for ALIX boards

I have a friend locally who does SBC manufacturing and he's agreed to do
the soldering for me. Unfortunately for me I have 7 units already in
the field with some being a little difficult to get at. On the other
hand, they have CM9s or other low powered radios and seem to be working
fine so I'll probably just mod the ones still here at the shop and of
course any new ones that come in until they start appearing with the new
mod from PC Engines itself.
I received the ECN notice from Dornier himself so it sounded like he
would be adding those capacitors effective immediately.
From the notice: "Effective: running change, phase in ASAP"
It remains to be seen if that simple modification in fact fixes
everything. I know I'm not alone in my desire to take advantage of the
range and speeds that two 600mw radios can provide on a given link! Due
to the present problem, I have a drawer full of XR5s that I will test
with as soon as I can get my remaining two boards fixed, hopefully this
week. I'll load them up with the XR5s and see what happens. Stay tuned.
As for power supply, I'm using some 12v, 1A units that measure 17+ volts
with the ALIX powered so I can't see that as an issue.
Regards,
Edwin
