Take a look at dante; light,  no caching, easy to set up. Socks5 funtionality 
makes it an allrounder (I'm using it for IRC DCC transfers). 
At full line speed (5Mb/s) CPU is around 16% on my Alix3d2.
apt-get install dante-server
