[Voyage-linux] alix + cf + hdd

Hi,

I used to boot perfectly for quite some while from a 160GB 2.5" hard
drive combined with a 8GB microdrive in the CF slot. It worked without a
problem, but I had to configure the microdrive as the master and the
2.5" as a slave, because the microdrive wouldn't work in slave mode. But
I was booting from the 2.5" hard drive. (also notice that I had to
upgrade the bios for the alix1c as it couldn't recognize my drive as it
was bigger than 128GB)

I'm not using this setup anymore because my microdrive is not working
reliable anymore. I don't think however this is related to the story of
angler31, my setup lasted for almost half a year. The microdrive just
died because the power management couldn't be configured completely and
it kept on doing a spin-down and spin-up every 60 seconds. I was quite
surprised the microdrive survived more than a year in that modus (I used
to use the microdrive alone before I bought my 2.5" drive)

Kind regards,
Tom
