Hi Nakaran,

 to communicate with the MC8775, you need to either
1. modprobe usbserial vendor=0x1199 product=0x6804
  (get vendor and product from /proc/bus/usb/devices - but those numbers
   above should be correct for MC8775)

OR

2. make sure you have the module usb/serial/sierra.ko in /lib/modules
  at the right place (and depmod if you build it and put it there).
This module will automatically detect the card and run usbserial with the
right parameters.

I have another problem with MC8790 (similar to MC8775) and Alix6b2: the
USB devices created by usbserial (/dev/ttyUSB0..6) are created then
destroyed at approximately 10 second intervals. Has anyone seen this?
