What is the functionality you intend to get out of the setup, using a
graphical display?
I am also new to Voyage Linux but from what I have read and
experimented so far, it is designed for small foot print CLI apps.
I would suggest you switch to the Atom based motherboards and main
stream distros like XBMC or Ubuntu or which ever is your favorite
distro.
I have installed Ubuntu Live CD on a 4GB CF on a Atom 230 motherboard
with 512MB. The performance is border line acceptable.
IMO, you may find your ALIX board to be under powered for a desktop or
a media center.
