Another hint, which I do not really understand, but somebody may explain
this to me:

root at freq:~# modprobe leds-alix2
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/hostap-utils, it
will be ignored in a future release.
FATAL: Module leds_alix2 not found.

So I checked the driver folder:

compared to voyage 0.7.5, 2 files are missing:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4600 2011-06-24 02:02 leds-gpio.ko
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5672 2011-06-24 02:02 leds-alix2.ko

Google results in an article:

> [PATCH 1/1] leds.mk: remove obsolete references to leds-alix and leds-net5501 modules
>
> These are now supported by platform drivers in arch/x86/platform/geode.
