Dear Punky,
Because I cannot get the firmware directly from  Voyage, I download the firmware from Ubuntu and Wiun7,
1. Ubuntu,  can I use Linux Ubuntu to install the Voyage firmware?
2. After save in fat 32 USB drive, plug in USB storage in Minix PC, boot up Voyage Linux, what command should I type?

Fred

Hi Fred,

If you run "lsmod", you should see tg3 is loaded.  Run "dmesg | less " and walk through to somewhere around "tg3" you will some error about loading the firmware.

To fix your issue,.
1. download firmware-linux-nonfree by command (remountrw first, of course):
wget http://backports.debian.org/debian-backports/pool/non-free/f/firmware-nonfree/firmware-linux-nonfree_0.35~bpo60+1_all.deb

2. then install it by:
dpkg -i firmware-linux-nonfree_0.35~bpo60+1_all.deb

3. reboot.
