[Voyage-linux] Stratum 1 NTP server

Hi folks,

Recently I installed Voyage Linux 0.9.1 on my Soekris net4501. I'd like 
to use it as a dedicated stratum 1 NTP server with gpsd and a GPS 
receiver attached to the serial port. However, although it does receive 
the NMEA data, there seems to be no PPS signal. Moreover, even as a 
stratum 2 server its offset and latency times are terrible, e.g. 2500 and 
800 ms respectively.

Would anyone have an idea about what might be causing behavior this and 
maybe how to fix it?
