[Voyage-linux] Problem during install

Hardware type is ALIX, 2GB CF.
Software version is Voyage MPD 0.9.1

I seem to be in a loop going around in circles. First of all the CF card formatted properly. But I'm having problems with ./usr/local/sbin/voyage.update. I get to the point of "Copy Distribution to Target" and it shows my settings. But when I press "y" I get the following.

Error: /dev/sdc1 is mounted on /media/tom/VOYAGE_FS - please unmount it!

So I unmount the CF and run it again and then I get.

mount: special device /dev/sdc1 does not exist
Fatal Error: Failed to mount /dev/sdc1 on /mnt/cf.

Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
Tom
