I have related problems on my soekris 4801,
though not as severe.
Im running daily snapshot
date from /etc/motd* is 20110610
heres my grub stanza, note my ide=<>
kernel /vmlinuz root=LABEL=ROOT_FS console=ttyS0,115200n8
ide-core.nodma=0.0 panic=20
initrd /initrd.img
my problems are at reboot, if Ive done remountrw.
Unmounting weak filesystems...done.
Will now restart.
hda: task_no_data_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hda: task_no_data_intr: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
hda: possibly failed opcode: 0xe7
Restarting system.
This happens even if I do remountro before reboot,
and even if Ive made no changes to the mounted filesystem.
